Movies, Wine, and Something Sweet

I am always craving something sweet whether it is double fudge brownies or cheesecake. Last night my sister and I went out for dinner and decided to make our own dessert. We chose to make strawberry shortcake because it is sweet but not too sweet. We also had a bunch of strawberries from the local farm up the road.

To begin you will need lots of cheesy movies, big glasses of wine, and :

1 cup of Bisquick,

1/4 cup of Almond Milk.

1 Tbs. of Honey.

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl.

Take a cutting board and sprinkle some Bisquick on it to prevent the dough from sticking.

Cut dough in half and place on a cookie sheet.

Drizzle honey on top to add a little more sugar.

Bake for 12 minutes or until the tops are a nice golden brown

To make the strawberry topping:

Slice 9 strawberries into a bowl.

Add three packets of Truvia or regular sugar.

Add a little coconut water and stir.

Place the strawberries in a pot and add a teaspoon of corn starch. The corn starch will help the juices thicken. Let the juices boil on the stove

Once the strawberries have boiled and created a thick juice take off the stove and let cool.

Cut the biscuits in half and pour over strawberries.

Add some whip cream and then place the top half of the biscuit over the whip cream.

Add some more whip cream to the top and strawberries if wanted.

Don't forget to give some whip cream to your furry friends!

Enjoy!
